UCR
RIMS-BTSA
is part of a teacher induction consortium collectively known as
RIMS-BTSA. The
RIMS-BTSA
Program is directed and administered by the Riverside County Office of Education.
RIMS-BTSA stands for the Riverside, Inyo, Mono, San Bernardino County Beginning
Teacher Support and Assessment Program.
RIMS-BTSA
provides service and support to 1,400 beginning teachers per year through 500 in-district
support providers. Teachers and support providers in the Program use the
CFASST© statewide system to record professional growth. CFASST©
is the acronym for the California Formative Assessment and Support System for Teachers.
RIMS-BTSA
is a highly collaborative program which partners with the Riverside and San Bernardino
County offices of Education, the University of California, Riverside Graduate School
of Education, and the California State University, San Bernardino College of Education.
Sixty school districts across four counties receive services from the
RIMS-BTSA
program.
The
UCR
RIMS-BTSA
unit is responsible for operations, accountability, evaluation, reporting and research
functions of the program. The research staff collects and manages several streams
of local and state data that serve as tools for program evaluation, improvement
and for research.
